Report: Leicester City plan £8m Francesco Acerbi bid

A report claims that Leicester City will bid £8m for Sassuolo centre-back Francesco Acerbi in the January transfer window.

Leicester City are reportedly considering a January move for Sassuolo defender Francesco Acerbi.

The Foxes are currently down in 15th position in the Premier League table and it is widely thought that head coach Claudio Ranieri wants to boost his defensive options next month.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Acerbi has emerged as a leading target for the Premier League champions, who will offer £8m for the central defender when the winter transfer window opens for business.

The two-time Italian international joined Sassuolo from Genoa in 2013 and has made more than 100 league appearances for the Serie A outfit.
