Claudio Ranieri not worried by Jamie Vardy transfer speculation

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri is adamant that he is not concerned about the future of Jamie Vardy, despite speculation linking the forward with a transfer away.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has insisted that is not worried about speculation linking striker Jamie Vardy with a move away from the club.

The 28-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, notching 10 goals for the Foxes, including scoring in seven successive matches in the Premier League following his match-winning strike against Crystal Palace.

The England international has been linked with moves to Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid, but the Italian is adamant that Vardy is happy with life at the King Power Stadium.

Ranieri told reporters: "He is happy with us, he's happy with his contract and that's important. Maybe [we'll look at it] at the end of the season, with a lot of goals scored.

"Speculation is good because football is speculation but it's important me and my players are very focused about the pitch.

"Not many teams can buy him now. He is very happy here and we don't want to sell him, it's clear. When I look at him he feels good and that's important."

Leicester face Hull City in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.
