Leicester City's survival push continues as they secure their third win on the bounce as goals from Leonardo Ulloa and Andy King fire the Foxes to a 2-0 win over Swansea.

Leicester City maintained their push for survival in the Premier League as they secured their third win in a row by defeating Swansea City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium.

The home side took the lead in the 15th minute when Wes Morgan knocked the ball into the path of Leonardo Ulloa, and the forward made no mistake as he rifled his strike into the bottom corner from close range.

Leicester pushed for a second goal as Marc Albrighton raided forward and brushed aside the challenge of Jordi Amat before launching a curling strike towards the net, but his effort went just past the post.

Swansea tried to hit back and carved out a good opportunity as Gylfi Sigurdsson raided forward and carved out space for a strike from just outside the box, but his effort was straight at Kasper Schmeichel.

In the second half, the Foxes should have doubled their advantage when Jeffrey Schlupp's cross flew through the box and landed at the feet of Albrighton. The winger took a touch, but blasted his effort wide of the target.

Nigel Pearson's men pushed forward again through Andrej Kramaric, as he bustled to the edge of the box before unleashing a right-footed strike at goal which went inches past the post.

The Swans responded and Schmeichel was called on to make his first important stop of the match as Jonjo Shelvey drilled a strike from distance, which looked poised to find the bottom corner before the keeper palmed it away from the net.

The Dane was in action again as he kept his side in the lead with a crucial save to deny Nelson Oliveira, who turned his man with ease and fired at goal only for Schmeichel to keep him at bay.

Leicester ensured their victory in the 89th minute when they won a free kick on the edge of the box. Esteban Cambiasso's first effort was not held by Lukasz Fabianski, and Andy King was alert to fire home the rebound and seal the three points.
