Leicester City manager Claude Puel admits that it is "difficult" to accept his side's 2-2 draw with Stoke, but insists that he has no qualms with the performance.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has said that he is "happy" with his players following their 2-2 draw with Stoke City, but admits that the result is "difficult" to accept.

The Foxes twice led through first Vicente Iborra and then Riyad Mahrez, but on both occasions Stoke bounced back as goals from Xherdan Shaqiri and Peter Crouch earned the hosts at point at the bet365 Stadium.

The Potters came close to winning it late on too when Kasper Schmeichel made an important stop, but Puel insists that he saw encouraging signs from his new team.

"I am happy with the attitude of my players, it was a good game, good intensity and passion," he told reporters.

"We had a lot of chances today, it is difficult to accept one point, but Kasper saved well at the end so then OK, we take a point. It is an encouraging game which is important for the future."

Leicester have now taken four points in two matches under Puel.
