Leicester City manager Claude Puel says that his side's win over Burnley on Saturday was "a reward for his players" and their hard work.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has said that his side's win over Burnley on Saturday was "a reward for his players" and their hard work.

Midfielder Demarai Gray netted an early goal that proved to be decisive at the King Power Stadium as the Foxes claimed three points over Sean Dyche's Clarets.

Saturday's result capped a solid week for Puel as his Leicester side also claimed a win over Tottenham Hotspur in midweek.

"On the pitch it was a difficult game, [Burnley] are sixth and with confidence," Puel told BBC Sport. "We saw this in the first half.

"It was important to win this game. I think it's a good result and a good reward for the players and their hard work on the pitch.

"It's encouraging to see different players and it was a good thing for Demarai he scored. We need to continue to improve all of the time. We need to keep this positive attitude."

Leicester's next fixture is against Newcastle United next Saturday.
