Simon Grayson rules out Leicester City manager job

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson has refuted claims that he is interested in succeeding Sven-Goran Eriksson as manager of Leicester City.

The former Foxes player has been linked with the managerial position after Eriksson was sacked from his post on Monday.

Former Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill has been reported as a frontrunner for the job, while MK Dons coach Karl Robinson has also been touted as a possible replacement.

Despite being linked to his former club, Grayson insists that he is committed to Leeds.

"It's a club that's very close to my heart, but [Leeds] is far closer to my heart," Grayson told the Yorkshire Post.

"I've had an affiliation with Leicester in the past, but my sole aim is to do well for Leeds. I'm totally focused on Leeds and that focus has never dwindled during my time at the club."

The 41-year-old racked up 175 appearances for Leicester during his playing career.
