Allo allo! On the third weekend of the Championship season the lunchtime match takes place at Elland Road as Leeds United take on Sheffield Wednesday. Half an hour until kickoff in the Yorkshire derby, so let's get straight to it.

Uwe Rosler makes two changes to the side that collapsed at Bristol City on Wednesday. No surprise to see Gaetano Berardi back at right-back instead of Scott Wootton, while in central defence Liam Cooper returns in place of Giuseppe Bellusci.

WEDNESDAY XI: Price; Palmer, Lees, Sasso, Wiggins; Semedo, Hutchinson, Lee; Matias, Nuhiu, Sougou
Subs: Wildsmith, Bus, Helan, Lopez, De Havilland, Hunt, Wallace

Some key players missing for the visitors today as Carlos Carvalhal makes six changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Reading in midweek. In come Liam Palmer, Vincent Sasso, Jose Semedo, Kieran Lee, Modou Sougou and Atdhe Nuhiu. Lewis McGugan is unavailable today as his partner recently gave birth to their first child.

REFEREE WATCH: The man with the whistle today is Mike Jones.

OK, let's take a look at the early table. Three rounds into the season, Ipswich Town, Hull City and Brighton & Hove Albion are setting the pace on seven points from nine, with Wednesday on four and Leeds on three. Leeds would be on five had they not conceded two goals after the 88th minute at Bristol on Wednesday.

One positive for Leeds on Wednesday was Chris Wood breaking his duck having failed to hit the target with any of his shots in the opening two league matches. He starts again today as the spearhead of Leeds's attack.

Stretching back to the final game of last season, Leeds have now drawn four straight in the Championship. If it becomes five today, they will equal a club record.

Moving onto the visitors, they suffered late emotions on the other end of the scale in midweek as Modou Sougou rifled home a late equaliser against Reading to salvage a point after a below-par display. He is rewarded with a start today in a three-pronged attack.

Carvalhal will hope that the Owls can shore up their backline today as they've conceded two or more goals in five of their last six away games, shipping one goal in the other.

H2H: Wednesday have taken the lead in the last seven meetings, but Leeds have lost just one of their last seven home matches against Wednesday, winning four. Last season it was a 1-1 draw at Elland Road. The most recent meeting was at Hillsborough on the penultimate weekend of last season, with Leeds fighting back from 1-0 down at half time to win 2-1 away from home.

However, Leeds are without a home win in six games. They've not gone seven without a win since 1997 and with three of their next four at home, Rosler will be keen to put that right.

PREDICTION: Right, just a few minutes until kickoff. This could be a tight affair and I'm just siding with Leeds because of all the changes Carvalhal has made. 1-0 to the home side.

KICKOFF! Wednesday, in their away kit of dark blue tops and light blue shorts, get us underway.

BOOKING! A yellow card inside the first minute as Leeds youngster Phillips loses the ball in midfield and blatantly tugs back Lee. Easy decision for Jones and a tough 90 minutes ahead for the Leeds man.

Not much of note since that early booking for Phillips. Neither keeper has had anything to deal with as the two teams feel each other out.

Matias, who has started his Wednesday career well, has the first shot of the game but it's a tame effort from outside the box that Silvestri saves easily.

Matias again looking bright for the visitors as his attempted pass infield takes a deflection and almost drops kindly into the path of Nuhiu.

SHOT! The hosts' first real attempt on goal comes from Dallas as no-one closes him down 25 yards out and he shoots a yard or two over the bar. Moments earlier, Phillips's effort from the edge of the area was blocked by Lees.

Most of Leeds's attacks in the early stages have come down the right. The two Bs, Berardi and Byram, enjoy getting forward but they can also defend together well as Byram was brought up as a right-back before gradually becoming more of a winger the last season or so.

I said at the start that this might be a game of few chances and it's proved that way so far. Neither striker has had a clear opening yet, with almost all of the play in midfield so far.

BOOKING! Another Leeds player into the book as Berardi goes up for a challenge with Matias and is too rough for Jones's liking.

Matias's weak early effort remains the only shot on target at the midway point of the first half as Hutchinson has a go from range for the visitors and sends it a long way over the top.

SHOT! That's the closest Leeds have been as Wood wins the flick-on and the ball sits up nicely for Antenucci, who takes on a first-time left-footed volley and fires it a yard or so wide.

Wood again flicks on for Antenucci, but this time Price is out quickly and does well to smother the ball and stay in his area.

Leeds are just shading the possession with 57% of the ball, but they're not doing enough with the ball. We've seen very little from Dallas out on the left so far; he needs to get in the game more.

Two of Leeds's star young midfielders, Lewis Cook and Alex Mowatt, aren't playing today. Mowatt is on the bench, while Cook is suspended and you feel that they are being missed at the moment.

What a goal!! Matias beats the offside trap, but he's not quick enough to get away from Cooper, so flicks the ball back over the defender before dipping a left-foot volley over Silvestri and in off the underside of the bar. Phenomenal!

Semedo is lucky to not be booked as he unnecessarily flails an arm when challenging with Wood and catches the Kiwi striker in the face.

What a brilliant goal that was from Matias. Surely we won't see one better in the Championship or anywhere else this weekend. Stunning volleyed finish.

And what that goal means is that Wednesday are currently joint-top of the table. Plenty more games to come later, so they probably won't stay there.

BOOKING! First yellow for the visitors as Lees stupidly tugs at Antenucci when the Italian was facing his own goal at the wrong end of the pitch.

Three players are stricken on the turf after a series of tough tackles. Hutchinson looks to be the worst off after jarring his knee in the grass when sliding in on Antenucci.

Two minutes have been added on, but we'll have more as Hutchinson is still receiving treatment.

Wednesday pushing for a second as the half edges towards a close here. Lee bursts into the box but can't find Sougou or Nuhiu with a cross as Taylor stands up well and blocks.

SHOT! Antenucci from a tight angle and blazes it well over.

A bit of a nothing half there apart from Matias's wonder goal for the Owls. I mentioned that he had started his career for the South Yorkshire side well and that is one way to score your first goal in English football.

Matias scored 17 goals in 33 games in the Portuguese top flight for Nacional last term and he's been the pick of the several new faces at Wednesday so far this season.

You have to say that both sides defended well in the first half. You wouldn't say that Wednesday deserve to be in front, but the one moment of quality from Matias is the difference. Leeds really need to step it up after half time.

Remember, the Whites are winless in six at Elland Road and haven't failed to win seven in a row at home since 1997.

Leeds are back out nice and early for the second half and it looks like Rosler hasn't made any changes. You'd expect to see Mowatt on soon if things don't change.

KICKOFF! Leeds get us back underway. No changes for Wednesday either.

CHANCE! A chance for Leeds inside 40 seconds at the start of the second half as Bamba gets away from his man at a corner but heads straight at Price. That's their first shot on target.

Today's attendance at Elland Road is 22,597, with 1,313 making the short trip North from Sheffield. Surprised there's not more away fans actually.

BOOKING! Phillips goes in strongly and gets the ball. Jones blows his whistle and reaches for his cards and you think the Leeds man is going to be sent off, but it's actually for Wednesday forward Sougou, who has committed one foul too many.

Awful effort from Phillips after Leeds won a free kick in a good position on the right corner of the box. He went for goal and tamely curled it into the side-netting. Murphy and Mowatt are about to come on and surely Phillips will be one of those going off.

LEEDS SUBS: Byram hasn't had a great game and he goes off with Phillips as Murphy and Mowatt come on. That should see Leeds change to a 4-3-3, with Antenucci and Dallas either side of Wood.

Scratch that. It looks like Rosler has stuck with two up front and is playing Mowatt wide left. Dallas has switched over to the right.

Mowatt has a chance soon after coming on but he leans back and spoons his shot from 20 yards miles over the bar.

Much, much better from Leeds! Bamba starts the move with a surging run from defence, finding Mowatt, who in turn spreads it out to Dallas on the right. He beats Wiggins with a nutmeg before crossing low and perfectly for Wood to slide in and tap home from two yards.

WEDNESDAY SUB: Carvalhal instantly makes a change, sending on Jack Hunt for Sougou.

Hunt is usually a right-back, but it looks like he has taken Sougou's swap on the right of Wednesday's three-pronged attack.

Leeds have had 12 shots to Wednesday's four, but the majority were either blocked or speculative efforts from range. Wood's goal was the first time they really cut Wednesday open.

SAVE! Palmer surges forward for Wednesday and finds the run of Lee with a through-ball. The midfielder's shot is blocked well by Bamba, but Palmer has carried on his run and the looping ball drops into the path of the defender and his header at goal is saved by Silvestri.

CLOSE! End-to-end stuff now as Taylor digs out a cross from the corner and Wood gets up well, directing his header just wide of the top corner.

So, 20 minutes plus stoppage time to go at Elland Road and it's hard to say if either deserves victory from what we've seen so far. You feel that the momentum is with Leeds, but can they carve Wednesday open again?

BOOKING! Hutchinson gets his third booking in four league games this season for handball 30 yards from goal.

Mowatt takes it on but there's nowhere near enough power in that and Price makes an easy save.

WEDNESDAY SUB: Owls goalscorer Matias makes way for Jeremy Helan down the left.

SHOT! Antenucci cuts in from the left and fires a shot that's curling towards the far corner until Lees gets in the way.

Murphy tries to pick out the run of Dallas with a through-ball, but the Northern Irishman looks a little weary and Wiggins is able to shepherd the ball out of play.

BOOKING! Helan into the book for clattering into Murphy, the sixth booking of the match.

After a brief end-to-end spell midway through the second half, the game has gone quiet again now as we approach the final five minutes. Can either side find a last reserve of energy to grab a winner?

SUBS: Both managers make a change, with Lopez taking Semedo's place for the visitors and Doukara coming on for Dallas for Leeds.

Wood heads a great chance wide for Leeds, but it wouldn't have counted as the Kiwi had strayed offside.

So, as it stands, Leeds are going to equal a club-record five consecutive draws.

FIVE minutes of added time as Cooper heads a Mowatt corner over the top. Leeds looking more likely, but you'd have to say that a draw would be the right result.

The linesman's flag is up and that's a poor decision as Wood was definitely onside when he received Mowatt's pass. Two minutes left.

Leeds free kick in the final minute...

Wood flagged offside. That might just be that.

ANOTHER draw for Leeds, who have started the season with four consecutive stalemates. Dating back to last season, it's now five draws in a row and that's equalled a club record.

Wednesday are a point better off than Leeds with five points from four games.
