Report: Ipswich Town close to Jonas Knudsen capture

Danish international Jonas Knudsen is reportedly in England to have a medical ahead of joining Ipswich Town.

Championship side Ipswich Town have reportedly triggered a buy-out clause in Jonas Knudsen's Esbjerg contract to sign the Danish international.

The left-back is said to have travelled to England ahead of a medical with the Suffolk side.

According to the East Anglian Daily Times, Ipswich will pay around £300,000 to sign the 22-year-old, who has two caps at international level for Denmark.

Knudsen has made over 100 appearances in the Danish top flight and also has European experience having played in the 2013-14 Europa League as Esbjerg made it through to the knockout stage and were beaten by Fiorentina.
