Jimmy Bullard suspended because of night out

Ipswich Town reportedly suspend Jimmy Bullard for two weeks after an unsanctioned night out in Newcastle with teammate Michael Chopra.

Ipswich Town have reportedly suspended Jimmy Bullard for two weeks because of an unsanctioned night out in Newcastle.

According to BBC Radio Suffolk, the midfielder is said to have cut short a team bonding session and travelled north with fellow Blue Michael Chopra to Tyneside.

Bullard wasn't in the squad for today's victory over Bristol City while Chopra did feature and opened the scoring for Paul Jewell's men.

Ipswich have thusfar refused to comment and are believed to be waiting to address the matter.

Jewell and Bullard, who also worked together at Wigan, are said to have fallen out before and the 33-year-old has not featured regularly in recent outings for the Suffolk side.
