Curtis Davies urges Hull City to start taking points from relegation rivals

Curtis Davies says that Hull City "need to start affecting the teams" around them in the Premier League.

Curtis Davies believes that Hull City need to "affect" the teams around them in the Premier League table.

The Tigers are 13th, just two points clear of West Ham United, who currently occupy the final relegation berth.

With a crunch match away to Sunderland on Saturday, Davies feels that it is crucial that his team start to take points off their rivals.

"We've played a lot of those higher teams away. Now it's also time to start winning the away games against the lower teams," Davies told The Mirror.

"We need to affect them. We need to start affecting the teams around us and make sure they don't take points off us."

Hull have managed just one away win in the league this season.
