Germany captain Philipp Lahm criticises his team's performance during their 4-2 win over Greece, but claims that they can be "very satisfied" with the result.

Germany captain Philipp Lahm believes that his team performed well below their best during tonight's 4-2 quarter-final win over Greece at Euro 2012.

The 28-year-old opened the scoring six minutes before half time, but Georgios Samaras levelled the scores 10 minutes after the break.

Sami Khedira, Miroslav Klose and Marco Reus eventually sealed the win for Joachim Low's team, however Lahm insists that Germany were well below their best.

He said: "We made it unnecessarily difficult for us. We had huge chances to go into the lead in the first quarter hour.

"We got into the lead and then gifted it away. We were too slow at times and made too many simple mistakes but the important thing is that we're in the semi-finals.

"We started very good in the first quarter hour and had our chances. We all played well up front. We can be very satisfied with this victory."

Germany have won their last 15 competitive matches.
