Ross McCormack: 'I feel wanted at Fulham'

Striker Ross McCormack reveals that he never considered joining another club after being made to feel wanted by Fulham before completing an £11m move.

Fulham striker Ross McCormack has admitted that a big factor ahead of his move to Craven Cottage was being made to feel "wanted" by the Championship club.

McCormack's exploits in front of goal last season resulted in plenty of interest in his signature, but after he opted to make an £11m move to West London, the Scottish international has revealed that he is keen to play his part in a successful year for the club.

The 27-year-old told the club's official website: "Having spoken to the manager, very quickly, I realised that this was the club for me. The transfer took a little longer than I initially anticipated, but I'm just happy to be here now.

"I've been with the boys for a few days, and I have to say that I'm really impressed by what I have seen. I just want to add to the squad and play my part in what I hope will be a successful season ahead.

"From that first discussion, I felt wanted. I could tell that they rated me as a player, and that's a big thing. It made a real difference. There was speculation in regards to other teams, but Fulham was where I wanted to be."

McCormack scored 28 goals for Leeds United in the Championship during the previous campaign.
