Martin Jol was full of praise for Fulham top-scorer Clint Dempsey after the American netted his 20th and 21st goals of the season.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder opened the scoring in the 3-0 win at Bolton Wanderers with an incredible 30-yard free kick before doubling the lead with a crisp header.
His manager, whose main two striking options were unavailable through injury, paid tribute to the versatile and reliable Texan.
"He will always be on the end of things, like he was for second goal. He is eager to score," said Jol.
"Pogrebnyak was not there, Andy Johnson was not there, so he was the only solution for us.
"If you consider that he scored most of his goals from a wide position, that is quite amazing."
Dempsey's 21 goals have come in 40 games in all competitions.
