Wednesday's Euro 2020 predictions including Portugal vs. France

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Euro 2020 fixtures, including Portugal vs. France.

Sweden vs. Poland (Wednesday, 5.00pm)

In the final round of an intriguing Group E at Euro 2020, leaders Sweden seek to secure the point that would see them through to the knockout stages on Wednesday, as they meet Poland in St Petersburg.

Though the Swedes will progress if they simply avoid defeat, their opponents must win to snatch a place in the top two, having picked up a solitary point from their first two games.

We say: Sweden 1-1 Poland

Though both sides are often prosaic in their approach, Poland's growing confidence and greater desire to seal the win should prove enough to crack a resolute Sweden rearguard.

Nevertheless, the Swedes are a tough defensive proposition and have barely lost in recent months for good reason - so their handful of attacking talents can help snatch a point on the counter; confirming progress to the next stage.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Slovakia vs. Spain (Wednesday, 5.00pm)

With Euro 2020 Group E still wide open, second-placed Slovakia make the journey to Seville to take on a Spain side who sit one point and one place below them in the rankings on Wednesday.

Stefan Tarkovic's men suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sweden in their most recent encounter, while Spain had to make do with a 1-1 draw against Poland.

We say: Slovakia 0-1 Spain

Slovakia have no need to adopt a gung-ho approach in search of a famous win versus Spain, as a point would be enough for Tarkovic's men to secure a top-two spot and be a part of the elite 16.

The talent at Luis Enrique's disposal makes it extremely difficult to back a Slovakia clean sheet, though, and while La Roja have not had things their own way so far, we still expect them to produce the goods when it matters most and seal progress into the knockout rounds.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Portugal vs. France (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Five years after doing battle on the biggest continental stage of them all, reigning European champions Portugal renew hostilities with 2016 runners-up France for their final game of Euro 2020 Group F on Wednesday.

Les Bleus remain at the top of the rankings despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Hungary on matchday two, while Portugal currently find themselves outside of the top two after a thrilling 4-2 defeat to Germany.

We say: Portugal 1-2 France

Portugal have already demonstrated their penchant for goalscoring at Euro 2020, and fans from all across the globe will be in for a treat as Ronaldo and Mbappe prepare to share the same pitch for 90 minutes on Wednesday.

Games between these two European powerhouses have often been low-scoring affairs in the past, though, and just as they did in the Nations League, we can envisage France bouncing back from their underwhelming result last time out to leave Portugal holding their breath regarding last-16 qualification.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Germany vs. Hungary (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Yet to assure progress to the last 16 of Euro 2020, Germany welcome Group F rivals Hungary to Munich on Wednesday, with a positive result still required.

After each side lost their opening game, both now come into this high-stakes fixture in buoyant mood, as the Hungarians held on for a draw against France last weekend, while Joachim Low's men beat holders Portugal 4-2.

We say: Germany 2-0 Hungary

Though Hungary have proven themselves one of the tougher teams to break down so far, a groundswell of momentum from Germany's stylish weekend win will help the hosts secure success on Wednesday.

As the hard-running Magyars will lose the power of 60,000 passionate fans representing their twelfth man, it is likely that their counterparts' far superior technical qualities will come to the fore - with the final scoreline decided by just how clinical the Germans' hit-and-miss strikers can be.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
