Lazio are reportedly struggling to meet the asking price for Feyenoord defender Stefan de Vrij.
The 22-year-old, who played a commanding role in the Netherlands' run to the World Cup semi-final in Brazil, had been expected to join the Italian club during this summer's transfer window.
However, Lazio owner Claudio Lotito has failed to meet the £7m valuation and instead offered just £5.5m, according to The Express.
Feyenoord are open to offers for De Vrij, and the same report claims that Manchester United could now be the favourites to land the centre-back.
