Tommy Oar keen on summer move to Premier League

Tommy Oar admits that he is keen on a move to the Premier League when his FC Utrecht deal expires in the summer.

FC Utrecht midfielder Tommy Oar has admitted that signing for a Premier League club this summer would be a dream move.

Oar's impressive form in the Eredivisie this season means that he is expected to attract interest from a number of sides when his contract expires at the end of the campaign, and the Australian is keen to display his ability in England or Germany after a five-year spell in Holland.

"It was always my dream to play in England or Germany where it's really physical and direct. Coming here was a development step and in the back of my head I always wanted to play in one of those competitions," the 23-year-old told Goal.com.

"It's important to make a decision and go somewhere you're going to get an opportunity straight away or where you're going somewhere with a good status and good reputation to be an important player.

"What level that means, I'll have to wait and see what opportunities come up but for sure I'll want to go where I'll get an opportunity to play."

Oar is expected to feature in Australia's friendly with Germany in Kaiserslautern on Wednesday evening.
