Everton could reportedly make up to four signings on deadline day as the club aims to financially back new manager Frank Lampard.

Everton are set to try and sign up to four players today, according to a report.

After Frank Lampard was confirmed as the new manager yesterday, the Toffees are now looking to financially back him immediately, by bringing in several new signings before the window shuts.

The club brought in Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season, but that might not be the last deal that they agree upon.

According to the Mirror, Everton are looking at making up to four more signings on deadline day in a bid to add some of Lampard's own players to the squad for the second half of the season.

It is understood that another midfielder could be a priority for the Toffees, adding further strength and depth to that area of the pitch.

Everton will be back in action on February 5 when they face Brentford in the FA Cup, which will be Lampard's first game in charge.
