Everton have confirmed that midfielder Ross Barkley has completed a one-month loan deal with Sheffield Wednesday.
The 18-year-old was expected to leave Goodison Park on a temporary basis following reports that the playmaker was a target of the Championship club.
Owls manager Dave Jones told the club's official website: "We have been chasing Ross for some time and I'm really pleased to have him on board.
"This is as big as the Rodri signing for me because this lad is a real quality player. He's energetic, good in the air and a box to box player who can score a goal."
Barkley will wear the number 24 shirt.
