Everton manager David Moyes believes that money and media pressure makes life tougher for a coach in the Premier League.

Everton manager David Moyes believes that it is "getting tougher" to be a successful coach in the Premier League.

The Scotsman has been pushing his Merseyside club to fight for a place in the Champions League throughout the season, but the Toffees are likely to miss out on a top-four position due to their six-point gap.

While Moyes does not believe that pressure to win makes life tough for managers, he does think that the money and media scrutiny has made things more difficult.

"It is a great job, we are very lucky and very privileged to be in this position," Moyes told Yahoo! Sport. "I do think that the job is getting tougher with the money coming into the game and media attention.

"This means more demands are put on the manager and results are required quickly, because of this it is making the tenure of any manager shorter. This all makes the job harder."

There are doubts over Moyes's future at Goodison Park as the Scotsman has refused to discuss a new contract until the summer.
