Everton manager David Moyes insists that the club want to keep hold of Marouane Fellaini beyond the summer.

Everton manager David Moyes has insisted that Marouane Fellaini is an "important" part of the team and hopes that the midfielder will remain at Goodison Park.

While Moyes's future is in doubt, Fellaini's position on Merseyside has also come into question following reports that the Belgium international may seek a move away in the summer.

"He is a big part of our squad not only because of his size but also because of how important he is to us and he is someone that we will be more than happy to see here again next year at Goodison," Moyes told Yahoo! Sport.

The 25-year-old has been a reported long-term target for Premier League rivals Chelsea.
