Everton manager David Moyes admits that midfielder Marouane Fellaini was wrong to react to being booed by the club's supporters last weekend.

Everton manager David Moyes believes that Marouane Fellaini owes the club's supporters a performance after he reacted to being booed off last weekend.

Fellaini was substituted as Everton lost 3-0 to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup, but Moyes has revealed that he will give the Belgian international a chance to 'make up with the fans' against Manchester City.

The 49-year-old told reporters: "His reaction wasn't right, it wasn't the correct one and I have told him that.

"He knows that he should have played much better, and yes, he may have some making up to do with the fans, but I won't have any trouble picking him.

"I'll play Marouane against Man City as I have to give us the best chance of winning. That means picking our best players and giving them a chance to make amends."

The 25-year-old has scored 12 goals in 27 games for Everton this season.
