New Everton assistant manager Graeme Jones has insisted that the club will try to blend the previous work of David Moyes into the new football style that manager Roberto Martinez aims to bring with him.
The Merseyside outfit will begin the 2013-14 season with a fresh team following the departure of Moyes to Manchester United.
"I think the key here at Everton is to get the balance between what's gone on before and what we can bring to the table," PA Sport quotes Jones as saying.
"What Everton have achieved is sixth place in the Premier League, which is fantastic. We need to match that and do better over a period of time. It's a great challenge."
Jones joined Martinez following the pair's partnership at Wigan Athletic.
