Everton boss David Moyes has said that new signing Nikica Jelavic is in contention for a place in the starting lineup against Queens Park Rangers.
The Croatian international has only made one brief substitute appearance against Wigan Athletic before being struck down with a groin injury.
Moyes takes his side to West London to face a QPR side who sit just above the relegation zone.
The Scot said that Croatia's midweek game with Sweden came just at the right time for Jelavic to get some much-needed minutes.
"Nikica trained with us for a few days before he went away and I was happy for him to go and play for Croatia," said Moyes.
"I'm looking forward [to playing him] because we've not seen him but Denis [Stracqualursi] has made it easy for me.
"It's not as big a panic [to get him fit] and that means we can introduce Jelavic slowly and at the right times. We've not been able to play him so we've got no idea yet what he can offer."
Everton are 10th in the Premier League, and unbeaten in their last seven in all competitions.
