Everton defender Phil Jagielka is adamant that his club's form can help him secure a spot in England's Euro 2012 squad.
Jagielka has been at the heart of a rich run of form for the Toffees, who sit seventh in the Premier League and are currently unbeaten in their last eight games.
With growing competition for places, the 29-year-old believes that everyone is trying their best to be a part of this summer's tournament.
"We've all got a lot to play for, whether it's the Euros or trying to get yourself in the team for next year," said Jagielka.
"We do this most seasons, the latter part is our best bit of form but this season has an added extra [the European Championship].
"There's not only myself trying to get in a Euro 2012 squad, there's quite a few players around me who want to keep their form up and push for their national team."
Jagielka has been capped 10 times by his country.
