Roy Hodgson urges England to attack San Marino to improve their goal difference.

England manager Roy Hodgson has urged his team to defeat San Marino by a significant margin in tomorrow evening's World Cup qualifier at Wembley.

The Three Lions boss believes that Group H could be decided by goal difference, stressing the importance of big victories against the lower-ranked teams.

"There are 90,000 coming to watch the game, we want to win the game and we'd like to do that by scoring a few goals," The Mirror quotes Hodgson as saying.

"I'm not prepared to quantify what a good result is. You'll only know that next October, at the end of the competition - if it's a case of goal difference.

"A good result is a win and a good performance. I want to see evidence that they're doing what I want them to do, whether that's 1-0 or 10-0."

Wayne Rooney will captain England in tomorrow evening's game, and is expected to start up front alongside Andy Carroll.
