Team News: Parker, Gerrard and Baines to start for England

Steven Gerrard, Leighton Baines and Adam Johnson will all start for England in their friendly with the Netherlands.

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard, Everton's Leighton Baines and Manchester City winger Adam Johnson will all start for England in their friendly match with the Netherlands on Wednesday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker will captain the side, while Chelsea's Ashley Cole and Arsenal's Theo Walcott will begin the match on the bench.

Interim boss Stuart Pearce has also handed the striking berth to Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.

Robin van Persie has been passed fit to start for Holland despite a reported groin injury.

He will lead the line for the Dutch, while Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben and Dirk Kuyt will provide the support from deep.

England have won five, drawn nine and lost four of their previous encounters with the Netherlands.
