Phil Jagielka will play through pain barrier during England's match against Spain tomorrow.

Everton defender Phil Jagielka has informed Fabio Capello that he is ready to play for England against Spain despite suffering with a toe injury.

The 29-year-old missed training with the squad yesterday as he continues to deal with that injury that he has been suffering with since last month.

The centre-back is expected to numb the pain with injections, which will enable him to play against Spain tomorrow.

"He played normally today," said Capello. "I spoke with him. I asked him if he is ready to play. He told me yes."

The Three Lions will take on the European and world champions at Wembley tomorrow.
