Fabio Capello has passed on his best wishes to interim England manager Stuart Pearce for tomorrow's friendly encounter with Holland.
Pearce has taken control of the senior squad following Capello's decision to resign from the role earlier this month.
"I spoke with Fabio a few days ago to thank him for everything he's done for me," Pearce told a press conference.
"And I received a text from him on Monday morning wishing me all the best for the game on Wednesday, which I replied to."
Pearce acted as an assistant to Capello during his four-year stint in charge of the Three Lions.
