Stuart Pearce praises Scott Parker for his development at an international level.

Stuart Pearce has complimented Scott Parker on his recent development at international level.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Parker has only recently become a regular in the England squad, despite making his debut in 2003.

Interim coach Pearce believes that Parker has now established himself as an important member of the team.

"He's developed without a doubt as a player, probably as a man as well," Pearce told a press conference. "It takes time to get feet under the table when you step up to international level but he is comfortable now.

"He's been outstanding for us and a good member of the group."

Parker has made ten appearances for the Three Lions.
