Scottish Premiership roundup: Inverness Caledonian Thistle go top with win

Sports Mole rounds up all of the action from Saturday's games in the Scottish Premiership, where Inverness CT have gone top with a win over Motherwell.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle climbed to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 2-0 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park this afternoon.

John Hughes's side secured victory with strikes from Greg Tansey and Aaron Doran, but should have won by an even greater margin as they showed their title credentials with a strong performance.

Newly-promoted side Hamilton Academical secured back-to-back wins as Darian MacKinnon's first-half strike from a neat Antoine Curier cross was enough to give them a 1-0 win over St Johnstone.

Dundee remain winless after a third consecutive draw as Craig Wighton's second-half equaliser rescued a point for his side against Partick Thistle, who had gone ahead after just four minutes through Gary Fraser.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock fought off a late Ross County comeback to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Josh Magennis and Temitope Ayoluwa Obadeyi.

Earlier, Celtic had hammered Dundee United 6-1.
