League One roundup: Doncaster Rovers extend lead at the top

Sports Mole rounds up all of the action in League One this afternoon.

Doncaster Rovers have extended their lead at the top of League One as the two teams below them could only draw.

Rovers inflicted Bournemouth's fifth consecutive defeat, when James Husband immediately replied to Matt Tubbs's late equaliser.

Elsewhere, Sheffield United were held to a goalless draw at home to MK Dons, while Swindon Town were held 2-2 by Walsall, thanks to a Jamie Paterson equaliser in the 90th minute.

Tranmere Rovers got themselves back into the automatic promotion mix, beating Oldham Athletic for just their second win in eight games, thanks to a Max Power strike.

Brentford lost their second game in a row, going down 2-0 at Carlisle United, while fellow promotion candidates Yeovil Town drew 0-0 at Hartlepool United.

At the bottom of the table, two goals from David Connolly saw Portsmouth beat Bury to leapfrog them and Colchester United were beaten 2-1 at home to Crewe Alexandra.

Crawley Town drew 0-0 with Notts County, while at Scunthorpe United, a late goal from Leon Clarke saw Coventry City win 2-1.

In mid-table, Leyton Orient recorded a 2-0 victory at Shrewsbury Town, while Preston North End continued to ease their relegation fears with a win by the same scoreline against Stevenage.
