League One roundup: Doncaster Rovers go top

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Tuesday evening in League One.

Doncaster Rovers have moved to the top of the League One table after beating Shrewsbury Town this evening.

The visitors needed an injury-time winner from Kyle Bennett after Tom Eaves had levelled the scores in the 90th minute.

Sheffield United drop to second after being held by Leyton Orient, with no goals for either side at Bramall Lane this evening.

Neal Bishop prevented Tranmere Rovers from returning to the top of the table with an equaliser for Notts County

Abdulai Bell-Baggie had put the home side ahead in the first half, but Bishop's second-half shot kept Rovers in third.

At the other end of the table, Hartlepool United extended their recent winning spell with a 3-0 win over Crewe, while Portsmouth secured a point against MK Dons.

Colchester United moved to within a point of safety thanks to victory over Yeovil Town.

Billy Clifford put the home side in front on the stroke of half time, with Freddie Sears doubling the advantage in the second period.

Scunthorpe edged away from the relegation zone with a win over Stevenage thanks to a goal from Mark Duffy, moving the home side three points clear of the drop zone.

Coventry kept their hopes of a playoff place alive with a win over Bournemouth, which leaves them five points outside the top six.

Walsall took a 3-0 win over Carlisle United courtesy of a hat-trick from Will Grigg, who broke the deadlock after six minutes, before adding two more after the break.

Brentford took all three points against Crawley Town, with both sides finishing a man down.

Mark Connolly was sent off in the opening minute for a challenge on Clayton Donaldson in the penalty area, allowing the visitors to take a 2-0 lead at half time.

However, Adam Forshaw picked up his second yellow in the second half, before Nicky Adams got one back for Crawley.

Meanwhile, Swindon Town dropped to fourth after Bury edged a 1-0 win at the County Ground.
