Sport Mole rounds up Boxing Day League One action.

Goals from Nick Blackman, Dave Kitson and Shaun Miller gave Sheffield United the points over Scunthorpe United to stay top of League One this afternoon.

Miller opened the scoring in the first half at Bramall Lane before former Reading striker Kitson doubled the lead early in the second. Blackman's late penalty sealed it.

Tranmere Rovers came back from a goal down at home to Crewe Alexandra to go second.

Will Grigg grabbed a double and strikes from Fabian Brandy and Jamie Paterson were enough to give Walsall a 3-2 win over MK Dons.

Leyton Orient's clash with Swindon Town was postponed due a waterlogged pitch, although Stevenage failed to leapfrog Paolo Di Canio's side after they were beaten 1-3 by Coventry City at Broadhall Way.

Crawley Town came back from a goal down at Portsmouth to win 2-1, courtesy of goals from Nicky Adams and Billy Clarke.

Preston North End played out a 0-0 draw with Bury at Deepdale with Oldham Athletic and Doncaster Rovers drawing 1-1 at Boundary Park.

A Drey Wright goal was merely a consolation for Colchester United as strikes from Harlee Dean, Marcelo Trotta and Adam Forshaw gave Brentford the points.

League One results in full: Bournemouth 3-0 Yeovil Town, Carlisle United 3-0 Hartlepool United, Colchester 1-3 Brentford, MK Dons 2-4 Walsall, Oldham Athletic 1-2 Doncaster Rovers, Portsmouth 1-2 Crawley Town, Preston North End 0-0 Bury, Sheffield United 3-0 Scunthorpe United, Shrewsbury Town 2-2 Notts County, Stevenage 1-3 Coventry City, Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Crewe Alexandra
