Derby County loan Ryan Shotton to Birmingham City

Birmingham City secure the half-season loan signing of Ryan Shotton from fellow Championship side Derby County.

Ryan Shotton has swapped Championship clubs, joining Birmingham City on loan from Derby County.

The former Stoke City man has moved to the Blues on a deal for the remainder of the season.

Shotton joined Derby permanently from Stoke this time last year and featured regularly for the Rams in 2014-15.

However, he has not started a Championship match under Paul Clement this term, making just six substitute appearances and only playing three times since August.

The 27-year-old's arrival is the second signing Birmingham have made in two days following yesterday's arrival of Diego Fabbrini.
