Derby County manager Nigel Clough has admitted that his side were soft in both penalty areas after their defeat at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
The Rams were undone by goals at the beginning and the end of the first half as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Ewood Park.
Clough believes that his side have repeatedly shot themselves in the foot over the past few weeks.
"Our failings in both penalty areas were highlighted today. The two goals were soft, but we created enough chances and situations," said Clough.
"The timing of both goals was poor and less than ideal. They lifted the Blackburn fans. We've thrown 6 points away in last 2 games
"Barnsley is a big game for both sides on Tuesday. We don't have too much time to recover but we will be ready to go at Oakwell"
Derby travel to Oakwell to face Barnsley on Tuesday.
