Christian Eriksen's agent says that the Denmark attacker is now 'awake and speaking' at hospital following his collapse on the field.

Christian Eriksen's agent has said that the Denmark attacker is 'awake and speaking' at hospital.

The 29-year-old collapsed during his national side's Euro 2020 clash with Finland on Saturday, which led to the contest being postponed in the latter stages of the first half.

Eriksen received CPR on the field but has since been stabilised in hospital.

Fabrizio Romano has now reported, via Ozcan Akyol, that Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots has told NPO Radio1 that the Inter Milan attacker 'breathes and can speak'.

Messages of support immediately poured in for the former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker, who will continue his recovery in hospital until a decision is made on any possible further treatment.

The contest between Denmark and Finland will resume at 7.30pm UK time, UEFA have confirmed.
