Petr Cech insists that the Czech Republic are capable of knocking Portugal out of Euro 2012.

Petr Cech has insisted that the Czech Republic have a good chance of progressing to the semi-finals of Euro 2012.

Standing in their way is Portugal, who are ranked 17 places higher in FIFA's most recent world rankings.

However, the goalkeeper believes that his nation are capable of picking up a positive result if they play to their best.

"We haven't lost yet, of course you can beat anyone on a good day," he said. "We definitely have a chance to advance. It's sport and anything can happen."

The Czechs progressed after they finished as winners of Group A.
