Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojevic admits that he is still unsure of his future at the club despite wanting to stay beyond the end of his contract.

Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojevic has confirmed that he wants to stay at the club but admitted that he is still unsure of his future.

The 28-year-old has been the Eagles' top scorer in both of the past two seasons, netting 10 times in 2017-18 and 12 times across all competitions last term.

However, he is now in the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park and admits that he does not know what will happen next summer.

"Yeah I would like [to stay], but we will see what will happen," he told BBC Sport.

"It will be hard this season, we have to see how the season will start. At the moment we have some issues with players with injuries, I don't expect honestly an easy start but we will see. For me as a captain it is very hard to give some comment about [the lack of signings].

"Of course I have my opinion but it is hard to say my opinion in public, because that is something for the people within the club. That is their job, their responsibility and I am the player in the team and I try to do my best with the players we have. I am so happy to see Wilfried [Zaha] today, he is back. I hope when we are all fit we have a good squad."

Palace have signed Victor Camarasa, James McCarthy, Jordan Ayew and Stephen Henderson this summer, as well as resisting significant interest in Zaha.
