Roy Hodgson claims that Crystal Palace have a good chance of keeping Wilfried Zaha at the club this summer, despite strong links to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has said that he believes Wilfried Zaha will still be at Selhurst Park come the end of the transfer window.

The Ivory Coast international is expected to be one of the most sought-after players in the summer market following another impressive campaign in South London.

Zaha capped a fine individual season by being crowned Premier League Player of the Month for April, as he took his tally for 2017-18 to eight goals and three assists in 28 appearances.

Amid rumours that Manchester City are willing to go as high as £50m with their offer for the 25-year-old, Hodgson claimed that there is a good chance of Palace keeping hold of their prized asset.

"He must be very pleased that so many people are mentioning his name," he told reporters. "You can't do anything about speculation and it always crops up.

"I am quite sanguine about it all, and like the fans and the players, want to keep him, and believe that we will have something quite serious to offer ourselves. I don't blame other clubs for coveting him, but I believe he will still be our player next season.

"I don't want [him to leave] at all, so there is no good moment to give me where I would be happy [if he left]. I would be very unhappy to see the day he leaves the club. I hope he will be here long after I am. This is his club and he knows how much we and the fans value him."

Zaha revealed last week that he is 'not scared' to try his luck at one of the Premier League's elite clubs, despite his bad experience with Manchester United in the past.
