Marouane Chamakh signs new two-year deal at Crystal Palace

Marouane Chamakh signs a new two-year deal at Crystal Palace following his arrival from Arsenal on a free transfer last year.

Marouane Chamakh has extended his stay at Crystal Palace by putting pen to paper on a new two-year contract.

The 30-year-old moved to Selhurst Park on a free transfer last season after spending three years at Arsenal.

It was widely expected that the Moroccan would stay put with the Eagles after helping the team secure Premier League safety under manager Tony Pulis.

The forward netted six goals in all competitions, the first of which came in August during Palace's 2-1 defeat to Stoke City.

Chamakh will now fly out to Austria to rejoin his teammates at their pre-season training camp.
