Ballon d'Or winners: Can you name the 2006 Ballon d'Or top 10 including historic winner?

On the 18th anniversary of Fabio Cannavaro's historic Ballon d'Or triumph, Sports Mole challenges you to name the top 10 from the award's voting that year.

The Ballon d'Or ceremony is one of the highlights of the footballing calendar every year, with the prize considered the most prestigious individual award in the sport.

Attacking players have dominated down the years, most notably since 2008 when the duopoly of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi began, with the legendary pair going on to share 13 of the next 15 Ballons d'Or.

However, just before the Messi-Ronaldo era, the award was far more open, and there was a different winner in each of the eight years prior to 2006.

That year saw yet another new name on the trophy, and it proved to be a particularly historic one as a defender picked up the prize - still the most recent occasion of a defender being crowned the world's best player.

The winner was revealed 18 years ago today, and to celebrate the anniversary of one of the more notable Ballon d'Or winners of the 21st century, Sports Mole is challenging you to name the full top 10 from that year's voting.

How many can you remember?
