Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Crystal Palace could line up for their Premier League clash with Everton on Monday evening.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson may have to cope without as many as eight players for his side's trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton on Monday evening.

The Eagles' defence is the worst hit by their injury crisis, as Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins are expected to remain out for a little while longer, while Cheikhou Kouyate has returned late from international duty and will need to be assessed before he can feature.

However, Kouyate is expected to partner Gary Cahill in defence if he is deemed fit to play, while the expected absences of Nathaniel Clyne and Tyrick Mitchell guarantee starts for Joel Ward and Patrick Van Aanholt at right and left-back respectively.

Eberechi Eze's busy period with the England Under-21s could lead Hodgson to consider Jeffrey Schlupp for a start on the left-hand side of midfield, and the engine room will be marshalled by Jairo Riedewald and Luka Milivojevic - whose penalty won the day for Palace against West Bromwich Albion last time out.

James McCarthur and James McCarthy complete the long list of Palace absentees, but Hodgson has no such selection concerns in the final third, as Jean-Philippe Mateta aims to improve on his slow start to life in England.

However, Mateta would never demote Wilfried Zaha down to the bench, while Christian Benteke saw his fortunes improve somewhat before the international break and could be trusted from the first whistle once again.

Crystal Palace possible starting lineup:
Guaita; Ward, Kouyate, Cahill, Van Aanholt; Townsend, Riedewald, Milivojevic, Schlupp; Zaha, Benteke
