Nathan Ellington joins Crewe Alexandra on a free transfer, two months after his release from Ipswich Town.

Former Wigan Athletic and West Bromwich Albion striker Nathan Ellington has signed for League One side Crewe Alexandra on a free transfer.

Ellington has signed for Crewe on a contract until the end of the season after his release from Ipswich Town in January.

Ellington had previously been training with Alex and said that he was hopeful of agreeing a deal to sign for the club.

The 31-year-old, who has scored 119 league goals in his career, could go straight into the Crewe squad for the match at Colchester United.
