Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua has hinted that a deal for Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka is close to completion.
The 32-year-old, who handed in a transfer request to the Blues last week, has been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League.
"It will be a three-year contract and will involve both football and commercial cooperation," Shenhua assistant spokesperson Ma Yue told the Shanghai Daily. "We started to talk about every detail from the first minute of the negotiations.
"The whole contract is made up of details. It's comprehensive and complicated, involving the player's image and the commercial cooperation."
Meanwhile, reports suggest that West Ham United are keeping tabs on the Frenchman's situation.
