Real Madrid are reportedly negotiating with Chelsea over the signing of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
In September, the 24-year-old, who spent three straight seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid between 2011 and 2014, claimed that he 'misses the Spanish lifestyle' and would be interested in a return to La Liga.
Last month, the stopper was forced to deny rumours that he had held talks with a move to Real Madrid, who are believe to have a long-standing interest in Courtois as they seek a replacement for Keylor Navas.
However, according to Radio Onda Cero, Real have opened discussions with Chelsea over the signing of the goalkeeper next summer and are confident of having him in place ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Courtois has helped Chelsea to the top of the Premier League table this season, with the Blues currently six points clear of second-placed Liverpool ahead of the Boxing Day fixtures.
