Chelsea have reportedly taken former AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia on trial with a view to signing the Italian on a free transfer.
The Blues are in the market for a new stopper after losing first choice Thibaut Courtois to a knee injury, which will keep him out until December.
Asmir Begovic has deputised for the Belgian, but the Premier League side then only have inexperienced 21-year-old Jamal Blackman as back-up.
According to The Telegraph, Blues boss Jose Mourinho will have a look at Amelia over the next week, with a view to signing the nine-time Italian international on a short-term deal until the start of 2016.
Amelia, who left AC Milan in the summer of 2014, last played for Perugia, but has since departed the Serie B outfit.
