Report: Diego Costa wants Atletico Madrid return

A report claims that Chelsea forward Diego Costa wants to return to Atletico Madrid this summer.

Chelsea forward Diego Costa is reportedly pining for a return to Atletico Madrid after failing to settle into life in London.

The Spanish international helped Atletico win the La Liga title during the 2013-14 season, before moving onto Chelsea last summer.

Costa struck 21 goals in 34 games for Chelsea during the 2014-15 campaign, with his form a key part of their Premier League success.

However, according to Marca, Costa has failed to settle in London, with the weather and food two of the main reasons for his discontent.

It is also understood that the 26-year-old is prepared to accept a drop in salary in order to return to the Vicente Calderon this summer.

Costa's end to the season was interrupted by a host of injuries.
