Newcastle United are reportedly hoping to strike a triple deal for Chelsea's Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Conor Gallagher this summer.
Despite their lucrative Saudi-backed takeover, the Magpies have been unexpectedly frugal with their spending so far this summer, only bringing in Nick Pope and Sven Botman.
Matt Targett's loan spell from Aston Villa was also made permanent, but Eddie Howe's side are expected to dip into their cash reserves before the window closes for business.
A new striker and midfielder could both be on the agenda for Newcastle, who have seemingly given up in their pursuit of £60m-rated Leicester City playmaker James Maddison.
According to The Athletic, Newcastle have asked to be kept abreast of developments surrounding the futures of Pulisic, Hudson-Odoi and Gallagher in the coming weeks.

Pulisic was only brought off the bench for the final 25 minutes against Everton last weekend, with Thomas Tuchel preferring Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz in the final third.
The 23-year-old only started 13 Premier League games in the 2021-22 season and has been consistently linked with an exit, and there have been rumours of a possible swap deal involving Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo.
However, the report adds that Chelsea may not be willing to sanction another attacking departure if Hakim Ziyech follows Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku out of the exit door.
Meanwhile, Hudson-Odoi is believed to have informed Chelsea of his desire to leave the club in search of regular game time, and he was not in the squad for the trip to Goodison Park.
Chelsea could allow the 21-year-old to depart on loan, but Newcastle will face stiff competition if they are to win the race for his services, with Borussia Dortmund said to be at the head of the queue.

Southampton are also believed to hold an interest in Hudson-Odoi, whose contract at Stamford Bridge runs until the end of the 2023-24 season.
In contrast, Gallagher was involved in last weekend's opening 1-0 success over Everton, but he only came off the bench for the final minute of the contest.
The England international is aiming to prove himself at Stamford Bridge but is facing competition from the likes of Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mateo Kovacic, Billy Gilmour and Carney Chukwuemeka.
A return to Crystal Palace on loan has been mooted for Gallagher, who came up with eight goals and three assists in 34 Premier League outings for Patrick Vieira's side last season.
Newcastle and Chelsea will both aim to make it back-to-back wins to start the new Premier League season this weekend, as the Magpies tackle Brighton & Hove Albion away from home while the Blues welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Stamford Bridge.
