Lazio have reportedly set their sights on signing Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi in next month's mid-season transfer window.
The 21-year-old has scored two goals and provided four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions this season, and could become a key player for Thomas Tuchel after it was confirmed that Ben Chilwell will undergo knee surgery and the Blues are looking for a replacement.
Maurizio Sarri wants to strengthen his squad in January to help the Rome-based team finish in Serie A's top four at the end of this campaign, currently sitting eighth in the table.
Football Italia reports that Lazio are keen to reunite Sarri with his former player Hudson-Odoi, who worked under Sarri during the manager's one season at Stamford Bridge between 2018 and 2019.
However, before the Italian outfit can afford to bring in Hudson-Odoi, it is reported that they will need to offload Vedat Muriqi, Denis Vavro, Riza Durmisi, Jordan Lukaku and Jony.
Hudson-Odoi made his first-team debut in 2018 and has gone on to score 15 goals and provide 20 assists in 116 appearances for Chelsea.
