Chelsea manager Frank Lampard reportedly asks technical and performance advisor Petr Cech to identify a replacement for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has reportedly asked Petr Cech to find a replacement for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

With the Spaniard again less than convincing against West Ham United on Wednesday evening, speculation persists that an alternative will be found during the next transfer window.

According to The Telegraph, former Blues stopper Cech, the club's technical and performance advisor, has been tasked with the job of identifying different options.

The report suggests that the Czech will have a significant say in whether bids will be made for players which feature on Lampard's shortlist.

A change between the sticks is unlikely to materialise unless Chelsea can find a new club for Arrizabalaga, who holds a long-term contract.

The West Londoners are said to be open to allowing the former Athletic Bilbao man to go out on loan next season.
